A Marathon Infinity solo scenario (2 levels)
The main level was designed on a real structure (a WW2
defence bunker) based in northeast England and is my first
level. It's taken me about a fraggin' year to complete due to
Bungie's mistakes in the Forge manual. I would like to
thank T. Belton for producing the "About Terminals or What
Bungie Didn't Tell You" document. It helped me a lot,
thanks.
The level is a fairly simple one, and I have not really
had many people to beta test it.
The game is best played in thousands of colours ( the
terminal picts look a bit strange in 256 colours), and with
all sounds turned on. If you have plenty of RAM make good
use of it!
Also, if you miss the music in the original Marathon then I
suggest you try and beg, borrow or steal a copy of
'Selected Ambient Works Volume II' by The Aphex
Twin
(Warp Records). The music is seriously spooky and goes
well with many of the dark levels in all of the Marathon
scenarioes. Get it!!
Known bugs: sometimes marathon will hang in areas where
there are many polygons (in this level at the top of the
stairs). Apart from this I think it's OK.
If you downloaded this, thanks.
Please mail me to tell me what you think!
If anyone wants to put this on CD rom, go ahead I'll be
flattered, but you must let me know.
